Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb. Aug.-Oct. Fresh marsh, open areas, wet sand colonizer. Seen at Fox Hills and North Beach campground. Infrequent to rare on Assateague, infrequent to rare in MD overall, according to the MNHP. See Vegetation Mapping Report. Not reported by Higgins. Also called E. flavescens var. olivacea (Torr.) Gl. MD only./ Hamilton, 2004: Voucher specimen probable at CNWR./, Park Species Data Source: Hill, 1986
