Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001: One (I) new and three (3) previously reported occurrences for Racemed milkwort (Polygala polygama) were successfully documented from Sandy Hook, Maryland, to District of Columbia line. Total number of plants counted during surveys was 161, including 37 plants found on Plummers Island -reported here for the fust time since 1938. Killip, 1953: In 1935, known only from the mainland. Maxon, 1935: Species included on the strength of satisfactory records, but no specimen is preserved. Bartgis, 1993: State Threatened plant, in Potomac Fall-Line.
