Native Range: US plants probably introduced from garden plants from Europe (Swearingen et al. 2002), which were in turn probably from western Asia (GRIN 2001).; Data Source: http://plants.usda.gov, 10 August 2007 Legacy NPSpecies information may no longer be applicable, please remove if it is not applicable. I-Rank Reasons Summary: This is a common roadside/railroad weed, which invades natural areas, but may not have a high ecological impact. Also, it appears to be extremely available in the horticulture trade which means that only more material will be available in the future.
