Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb, but appearing annual. June-July. Infrequent on Assateague, infrequent overall in MD. Found only at VA end by Higgins (Specimen at MARY, 6/8/67). Reported by her as A. hiemalis (Walt.) BSP. Also known as A. hiemalis var. tenuis (Tuckerm.) Gleason. (Higgins #23).
