A casual to rare winter resident along the Colorado River. Along the river, the nine records are: one at Cardenas Marsh on 27 Sept 1975 (Steven W. Carothers), one at RM -14.3 on 29 Oct 1998 (Charles T. LaRue), one at Lees Ferry 10 Nov 2009 (Shaun Putz), another that stayed at Lees Ferry from 5 Dec 1994 to 7 Mar 1995, one at Lees Ferry 5 Dec 1995 (John D. Grahame, Charles T. LaRue), one at RM 87.8 on 15 Jan 1998 (John R. Spence), one at RM -0.5 on 27 Mar 2000 (Charles T. LaRue), one at Cardenas Marsh 14 Apr 1984 (K.D. Groschupf), and two at RM 165.2 on 17 Apr 2007 (Jeremy M. White). The only records away from the river are of four at Indian Garden on 1 Jan 1969 (W.H. Hill) and one at Tuweep Ranger Station on 21-23 Apr 1977 (David C. Ochsner and Meribeth M. Riffey). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
