A casual migrant that has been seen in the region only once. One was photographed along the Colorado River at RM 110 on 28 Aug 1974 (John Blaustein). This bird was originally misidentified as the region’s only record for Semipalmated Sandpiper (LaRue et al. 2001; Brown et al. 1985), which is now removed from the regional checklist.
