Notes
Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb. May-July. Fresh marsh, disturbed wet sands, occasionally in shrub succession, apparently salt-tolerant. Infrequent but widespread. Frequent throughout MD. (Higgins #297, 298, 299). Reported as vars. humifusa Allen, linearis (Michx.) Wats., and unguiculata Fern., all synonyms of this variable species. MD & VA.
