Park Species Detail: Shriner (2001) provides the most recent published records and found it to be one of the five most abundant species during her surveys; Stupka (1963) provides a breeding record; park collections house two park specimens; Chicago Academy of Sciences houses ATBI Sensitivity = Public Species Notes: Abundant, Summer Resident; Breeds in Park; Species limits in this complex are uncertain; some authors separate V. FLAVOVIRIDIS and V. GRACILIROSTRIS as distinct species. The CHIVI group (Chivi Vireo) is closely related to the OLIVACEUS group and presumably conspecific with it (AOU 1998). V. FLAVOV STATUS: Native, Breeder, Abundant, Present in Park;; ; General Notes: Shriner (2001) provides the most recent published records and found it to be one of the five most abundant species during her surveys; Stupka (1963) provides a breeding record; park collections house two park specimens; Chicago Academy of Sciences houses five park specimens.
