Occurrence Notes
No written records of species occurring in YNP; Data Source: 2014 YNP Bird Checklist.
Nativeness
Unknown
Nativeness Notes
Its occurrence in YNP is essentially accidental and well outside the accepted range in Mexico and the far southwestern US (NatureServe 2006, Sibley 2003). This suggests that it does not, and probably never did, regularly occur in the park, so its nativity (if defined relative to YNP boundaries) could justifiably be classified as non-native or unknown.; Data Source: Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database

Seasonality Tags
  • Vagrant
Not listed by Dorn and Dorn (1999) as occuring in Wyoming. Listed by McEneaney (2004) as having less than 20 observations in the last 50 years. YNP is well outside of the normal range and it does not migrate through the area (Sibley 2003, NatureServe 2006).; Data Source: Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database
