Notes
Park Species Detail: Fleming, 2003: Frequency in 35 plots, 26=74%, mean cover >4%. Particularly troublesome because of their shade tolerance and aggressive growth habits; a problematic exotic of the Basic Oak-Hickory Forest community./DCR, 2003: Highly Invasive Species./Dibble, 2003: At Brawner Woods we found a dense population of Japanese honeysuckle forming "hanging baskets" in the lower canopy. Ladder fuels of Japanese honeysuckle at Brawner Woods, which seemed obvious in the field, are not reflected in our data because of our methods./Dibble, 2003: Found in Carter Woods study plots with relatively few invasive non-native species and in Carter Woods and Brawner Woods study plots invaded with non-native species./Pelej, 1993: FAC./Belden and Fleming, 2001: The invasive plant Lonicera japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) is rampant in the area [location of Asclepias purpurascens] and should be controlled if warranted and if feasible./, Park Species Data Source: Pelej, 1993; Fleming, 2003; Dibble, 2003; Belden, 1998;
