Large numbers of sub-adult frogs were recorded throughout the park in late July and early August. This was surprising since adult breeding population was considered small. They were heard at only 9 of 34 calling sites.; Data Source: Smith et al. 1997

    These frogs are subject to population crashes and are sensitive to introduced diseases. Semi permanent ponded habitats with margins of cat-tails are good types of habitat for this frog.
