Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Introduced, from tropical Asia. Tree. June-July. Disturbed sands and roadsides. Flower filaments white with pink apex. Rare on Assateague, recently introduced, seen only at MD bridge causway and Great Egging Island. Frequent throughout MD, a weedy but attractive tree. Not reported by Higgins, a recent introduction to the island. MD only. Slides: B41c-1 to B41c-4./
