Occurrence Notes
Found by Meade in the park during the 2003-2005 inventory. Taylor et al. cited 2 specimens taken from Daddy's Creek in 1967 (TN Tech U Museum collection). Although the latter authors did not find ths snake during their inventory, they believed it was probably present. They desscribed it as a "secretive snake, normally found in upland and mountainous areas of open woods, though it also occurs in sphagnum bogs.; Data Source: Meade, L. 2005. Herpetofauna Survey of Obed Wild and Scenic River. Third Rock Consultants, Lexington, KY; Taylor, C. R. McKitrick, M. Pelton. 1981.
