Notes
Park Species Detail: NATUREBIB-45665 states that the Guam Aquatic and Wildlife Resources Division has observed turtles (probably the green sea turtle) in the zone between Orote Point in the north and Facpi Point in the south during their annual aerial surveys. Six turtles were observed during the total of 24 aerial surveys conducted during 1978. The Agat unit of WAPA lies within these two Points, and was probably included within the surveys. The website states that over 3,500 marine species and 200 species of coral that are located within the scuba and snorkeling areas of park waters include the endangered hawksbill sea turtle and the threatened green sea turtle. This website can be found at http://www.nps.gov/wapa/indepth/. Turtles are probably transient and may be feeding in extensive seagrass and algal beds, especially in the Agat unit., Park Species Data Source: NATUREBIB-45665, US Army Corps of Engineers 1981; War in the Pacific National Historical Park website
