Abundance Notes
Spring=uncommon; Summer=unknown; Early Fall=rare; Late Fall=uncommon; Winter=uncommon; Data Source: Ferraro, H., Bourque, R. Bourque, J. and Cook, R. (1994); Davis, T., Taft, D., and Riepe, D. (1996)
Although breeding confirmation validates the presence of this species during summer, relative summer abundance is unavailable. It is likely that the abundance status would be rare if data were available.

Breeder
Also winter resident and spring and fall migrant. Probable breeder in the NYBBA online species lists for block: 2003 5849D. (Possible breeder in 2003 5949C). These blocks have high probability that breeding confirmations occur within park boundaries. Note: neither FBF or JBWR checklists record this species as a breeder. If breeding is within park boundaries, this could be an upgrade for one of the lists. Confirmed breeding also for blocks: 1985 5949C. This block also encompasses suitable habitat that is outside of the park boundaries.; Data Source: NYBBA web site (2004) - historic species lists as of 1985 and current species lists as of 2003 for blocks 5848A, 5848B, 5849B, 5849D, 5949A, 5949B, 5949C, 5949D and 5950C.

Notes
Park Species Detail: Spring and winter abundances are from FBF checklist.
No summer abundance on FBF or JBWR checklists. There is some breeding information in the NYBBA online lists for blocks that have a high probability of breeding occuring within park boundaries (blocks 5849D and 5949C).
Also winter resident
ooklyn CBC Data indicates higher abundance than rare. Average is 90 indicating an abundance of common or abundant. Number may also be due to urban environment outside of park boundaries., Park Species Data Source: O'Connell 2002 Voucher Search Project
