Park Species Data Source: Savage, S. 1998. Alagnak Wild River-Bird Species List 1992-1997., Accepted Detail: Racine and Young 1978 list seeing Phalaropus fulicarius (this is Red Phalarope), but list the common name as Northern Phalarope (which is old name for Red-necked Phalarope). Red is very unlikely here; they certainly meant Red-necked, but got the scientific species name confused. I have no records of Red Phalarope in LACL, but numerous observations of Red-necked.
