Notes
Species Notes: in park ""P. glutinosus complex"" is usually P. glutinosus but could once have refered to P. teyahalee. Species glutinosus was split into several species, with glutinosus and teyahalee being in the park; valid for sighting that does not determine which of the two is the animal in question; note that early sightings of ""glutinosus"" cannot be separated from the two; Sensitivity Notes: 10/26/2015 Paul Super I could not justify why we were considering some of the Desmognathus or Plethodon species sensitive; Species Notes: Populations in the southern Appalachians recently were regarded as a distinct species, P. TEYAHALEE (Highton 1983, 1987). Hairston et al. (1992) regarded this change as unjustified and continued to use the name GLUTINOSUS for the slimy salamanders of the; Sensitivity Notes: collectible
