A casual fall and winter visitor which has been seen three times along the Colorado River. There are two winter records: one at Lees Ferry from 7 Jan to 16 Mar 1994 (John R. Spence, Mark K. Sogge), and one there from 9 to 26 Feb 2000 (Charles T. LaRue). A fall record above Lees Ferry from 10 to 16 Sept 2006 (photographed by F. Talbott) was a month earlier than the species typically arrives in the state (Stevenson et al. 2007a). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
