Park Species Detail: Checklist information (abundance, nativity) updated 4/11/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist. Russell (1984?) accidental; 1 bird at Schooner Head on 22 September 1968 (W. Russell); also 1 bird at Otter Point on 28 September 1972 (W. Russell). Bond (1969) vagrant from the south but reported on MDI. Palmer (1949) Species observed on MDI in 1946 and 1947. Bond (19??) vagrant from the south, July records.., Park Species Data Source: Witt (1997); Russell (1984?) Legacy NPSpecies information may no longer be applicable, please remove if it is not applicable. In legacy NPSpecies Residency was Unknown with comment: Possible breeder in the Mount Desert Island area (Witt 1997). Sibley (2000) rare vagrant in eastern coastal Maine.
