Listed by Dorn and Dorn (1999) as a confirmed resident in or near YNP. Not listed by McEneaney (2004) as occurring in the park. YNP falls within the range of sage-grouse (Sibley 2003). There are no NPSpecies evidence counts for sage grouse in YNP and no records in WYNDD's database, although records exist for nearby counties.; Data Source: Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database

Notes
Park Species Detail: Terry McEneaney says there may be a specimen that was collected on the "Cody Road" but may be outside the YELL boundary. Voucher record didn't indicate inside or outside the park. Terry has a write-up for sage grouse in YELL related to potential T&E listing.
