Occurrence Notes
Park staff has observed (photos taken) hognose snakes in the park. Smith (1996) did not find in park but it is very rare in much of its range and the park is well within its range. Park employee recalled a snake caught in years past that "played dead". Since behavior is unique to hognose snakes and this species is only one in area, seems likely that the employee was describing this species.
