Notes
Updates to subspecies based from most recent Gill, Donsker and Rasmussen list from the IOC - Master Lists - IOC Word Bird List (worldbirdnames.org), version 11.2.
Park Species Detail: During the 2005 shoreline bird inventory, 2 great frigatebirds were seen flying high over the land within 100 m of the sea. During the 2005 seabird inventory, two frigatebirds were seen flying over land at 'Ohe'o. According to Cathleen Bailey, HALE, the order name for this species should be Pelecaniformes, not Ciconiiformes., Park Species Data Source: NATUREBIB-598649, Shoreline bird inventory, NATUREBIB-601714, Seabird inventory.
