Notes
Updates to subspecies based from most recent Gill, Donsker and Rasmussen list from the IOC - Master Lists - IOC Word Bird List (worldbirdnames.org), version 11.2.
Park Species Detail: The first reference states that the great frigatebird is found within NPSA (97% of individuals observed are within park territories), and that there is a nesting colony there on Pola Islet(map, p. 34). Amerson et al. states that this species is an uncommon resident on Tutuila and a visitor on other islands, and perhaps nests oon Pola Islet and Plau'uta Ridge, both in NPSA., Park Species Data Source: NATUREBIB-601628, O'Connor & Rauzon 2004; NATUREBIB-138047, Amerson et al. 1982.
