Occurrence Notes
Suspected presence - probably encroaching. Recent inventory efforts (Patla and Peterson 2004) result in the following: "In YELL, there are no historical or recent confirmed observations of leopard frogs. Koch and Peterson (1995) mention a report of a sighting from the Bechler region in 1992. The presence of leopard frogs on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River downstream of the park suggests that they could possibly occur in southwest YELL. No leopard frogs were found in GRTE or YELL during surveys 2000-2003, and we are aware of no verified reports since 1996.; Data Source: Chuck Peterson, Herpetologist - Idaho State University, Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database
