Rock bass were first stocked in the upper Potomac in 1898. The lower Potomac received rock bass for the first time in 1887. Rock bass are native to the Mississippi, Great Lakes, St. Lawrence and southern Hudson Bay basinsand have since beed introduced in many other areas.; Data Source: Jenkins and Burkhead, 1993 Legacy NPSpecies information may no longer be applicable, please remove if it is not applicable.
