    Also occurs predominately as winter resident and spring and fall migrant. Probable breeder in the NYBBA online species lists for block: 2003 5949A. This block has high probability that breeding confirmations occur within park boundaries. Note: JBWR records this species as breeding prior to 1970. Although Zuzworsky's Jamaica Bay I&M reference lists this species as extirpated as a breeder as of 1997, the NYBBA breeding confirmation is more recent data.; Data Source: NYBBA web site (2004) - historic species lists as of 1985 and current species lists as of 2003 for blocks 5848A, 5848B, 5849B, 5849D, 5949A, 5949B, 5949C, 5949D and 5950C.
