Nativeness Notes
This species is native to costal areas of North America, although it occasionally occurs eslewhere (Sibley 2003). Its occurrence in YNP is essentially accidental and well outside its accepted range (McEneaney 2004, NatureServe 2006, Sibley 2003). This suggests that it does not, and probably never did, regularly occur in the park, so its nativity (if defined relative to YNP boundaries) could justafiably be classified as non-native or unknown.; Data Source: Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database

Vagrant
Listed by Dorn and Dorn (1999) as migratory through YNP. Listed by McEneaney (2004) as having less than 20 observations in the last 50 years. Wyoming does not fall on its major migration routes (Sibley 2003), suggesting a classification of vagrant rather than migratory.; Data Source: Doug Keinath-Lead Zoologist-Wyoming Natural Diversity Database
