Park Species Detail: Alsop (2001) includes this species in the most recent list; Small flock photographed at Purchase Knob in 2003; the one park specimen from the collections was destroyed in 1984. ATBI Sensitivity = Public Species Notes: Rare Migrant; Blue morph and white morph formerly were regarded as distinct species, C. CAERULESCENS and C. HYPERBOREA. See Cooke et al. (1988) for evidence of former allopatry of white and blue forms; recent merging of the two probably was due to change in winter feed STATUS: Native, Migratory, Occasional, Present in Park.
