Notes
Park Species Detail: Mitra, S. and Putnam, J., 1999 have an extrapolated relative winter abundance of rare for this species. The averages for CBCs that include parts of FIIS for counts 60 to 103 range from 378 to 650 indicating a relative abundance value of Abundant. This species is ubitquitous in the coastal waters around FIIS so utilizing the CBC values for this species is appropriate. It may well be that the relative abundance value on the checklist is actually a typographical error., Park Species Data Source: Lynch, 1986; McCormick, 1975; Mitra, 1999; NAS, 2003; USFWS, 1997
