Park Species Detail: Alsop (2001) includes this species on the park checklist; Park Observations include no records of this species; Stupka (1969) includes several records of "Traill's" Flycatcher in the park but only mentions the Willow Flycatcher's song type, not the Alder' ATBI Sensitivity = Public Species Notes: Occasional Migrant; Formerly regarded as a single species, E. TRAILLII (Traills Flycatcher), conspecific with E. TRAILLII (Willow Flycatcher) (AOU 1983, 1998). STATUS: Native, Probably Present;; ; General Notes: Alsop (2001) includes this species on the park checklist; singing male captured at Purchase Knob in July 2007 and banded; Park Observations include no records of this species; Stupka (1969) includes several records of ""Traill's"" Flycatcher in the park but only mentions the Willow Flycatcher's song type, not the Alder's; Robinson (1990) cites breeding records for northeastern Tennessee; also regularly found singing in western North Carolina.
